Best way to search for FPs You Don't Have

Trying to get Anna/Elsa. I am clicking on change experience for those FPs I already have. All are in the morning timeframes and booked for five people.

What's the best way to search? I'm using the web site and don't have the app. And I can't figure out how to search for fewer than five.

What is the best approach? Am I wasting my time?

Using the DME (and magic bands) we had no problem selecting our FP+ and then once we used them up, the kiosk in the park gave us options for additional ones. We chose not to download the app because friends said it totally drained their phones and that was a pain. We use our phones so we didn't want to have to charge up during the day. The Frozen sing along show in DHS is a wonderful way to enjoy the main characters and the show format is very unexpectedly FABULOUS so if you have fans in your family, select it for sure. We walked by the Anna/Elsa meet/greet the night we did evening EMH in MK a couple weeks ago and there was a 30 minute wait without FP. Not bad. Try the walk on during the first evening parade and/or castle fireworks show.

Ok let's see if I can explain, assuming I understand what you're trying to do.
When you select "change experience" and then select A&E, you'll see the names of the five people assigned to your current "experience" aka attraction, with the green check marks next to their names. Try de-selecting 2 or 3 of the names (click on 2 or 3 of the green check marks as if you're NOT going to change those 2 or 3), leaving the remaining names still with green check marks, and then select the drop down menu with the available times to see if more options open up. If they do, select to accept the change for the names of those you left checked on in green.

Then, go back in again for those 2 or 3 people that you originally de-selected - they should still be under the original experience, select "change experience" for those three, select A&E , and see if you can get overlapping times.

You run the risk of not getting A&E for those names and they'll be left with the original attraction. But you can keep checking back. Also check the FP+ cancellation threads to see if anyone is giving up A&E for your day, and you could coordinate their canceling, and your selecting A&E with them.

I know I struggled changing only 1 or 2 people for an experience using the website. If you are able to download the app I HIGHLY recommend it because it is easier to check for a subset of your group.
