best way to room request

It has been a few years since we put in a room request. We are staying at AKL for 9 nights in a standard room and really want in the Zebra wing to be near transportation and food. Not asking for upgrade just placement. Is it best to fax a few days before arrival? Online check in did not have a choice fro close to transportation like it usually does. That is what we used to do. Wondering if that is still the best way.

We have found the best way is to call the Main Reservations line and add requests to your reservation. This can be done anytime from the day you book up until 4-5 days out.
