What is the best way to ride the Lily Belle? I have heard going first thing in the morning and asking, but do I go to the Main Street Station or to City Hall?

City Hall is not a factor at all. You go to the Main Street Station and ask. The CM there will let you know if/when they can accommodate your request.

We asked a conductor a couple of weeks back and he did say get there FIRST thing in the morning - as soon as the gates open. IF they are going to run her then you may get a reservation to come back. But they go fast.

yup, go to the train station and ask the conductor there if she will be running. If she is ask if you are able to ride, they will check the schedule and let you know. The earlier you go the better your chances are. :)

We got on fairly easily on the morning of Feb. 11th. The parks were pretty quiet that day. First we went to City Hall, but they told us to go to the train station. We walked in and the conductor told us to come back at 10:00 (it was around 9:00 a.m.).

It was one of the most special things I have ever done at Disneyland! On that same day we were randomly selected to go into the captains area of the Mark Twain to help drive the boat. My daughter and I were just standing on deck looking at the view and the captain offered it to us. It was such a lovely treat for both of us--and it was my 47th birthday!

I recommend putting both activities on your bucket list if you haven't had a chance to do them yet.

My husband asked for our anniversery! It was so awesome! Sit as close to the conductor as possible. Our conductor talked to us about the history of the car! It was so cool!! :cool1: One of my top 5 Disney memories!!!:goodvibes

We rode on my birthday (12/22) in 2010. We were at the Main Street station, about mid-day I think? I had a birthday button on. The train pulled in (with the LB obviously) and I asked the CM there - so, I guess there's probably not any chance we could ride in the Lilly Belle, is there? And he was like - sure, come on in!

It was super awesome!!! Very very cool!!
