we are cooking the turkey a day early. It is brining overnight and will be smoked.

What is the best way to reheat it without drying it out? Leaving it unsliced and sticking it in the oven the day of (if so what temp for how long)

Or, slicing after it is done cooking and then reheating the pieces the day of Thanksgiving (if so, how/what temp/how long)

I have 2 people disagreeing on this and need to know the best way :confused3

Definately take it off the bones. I've heard that bacteria grows in the bones first. I would store it in a little turkey roth overnight and then reheat it in the broth too....not enough to drown it, but enough to keep it moist and steam it when you reheat it.
To reheat, I would cover tightly and put it in a 250 degree oven until heated through.

I would add the slices to a pan and add a little bit of water (or broth) and cover it with foil. PLace it in the oven on a low setting (like around 170-200) It will "steam" this way an will not dry out.

You are not covering the meat....just enough in the bottom to prevent it burning and sticking to the pan and allowing it to steam. You would only need about 1/8 inch.
