Best Way to Refer Potential Buyer

A friend may be interested in buying DVC. Should I call my guide and give him her name? Should I direct her to the DVC website and have her send for the dvd? There's a place where she can input my name.

I would call your guide and give provide the name and contact information for your friend. At least that way you will know that the information was provided to DVC using you as the referring member and there should be no question about any possible referral rewards (as long as your friend has not yet contacted DVC already).

We used someone from these boards as our referral. We just gave her name and home town to our guide. We actually gave the information to our guide a few weeks after we took the tour.

I suggest you ask your friend first if she minds you giving her contact info to your guide. I have a niece who is very interested and I suggested I do the same, and she said no, she did not want anyone calling her yet. So I just ordered the DVC DVD and gave that to her for a start, she is very into AKV but wants to be the one to make the call, not the one to receive a call. Alot of people don't realize how low key DVC guides are, people automatically assume they'll be hounded by the salespeople.
