Best way to leave Illuminations?

There is no guard checking the cars when entering the Boardwalk parking lot. I think they want to make Boardwalk accessible to anyone that might want to go to the restaurants and clubs there. I have never tried parking there in the morning. My wife and I always drive over in the late afternoon for a dinner and Illuminations.

I would just like to add, that the length of the walk out of Epcot also depends on where you view Illuminations. Be sure to stake out a spot along the lake nearest your choice of exit, well in advance for a great view.

Thanks for all the helpful hints everyone. Holy cow, I can't beleive how many answers I got from this simple question.

You should be aware that there is not always enough parking at the BW. A lot of people stay at the hotel there and the parking is supposed to be ample for people staying and using the restaurants, but there isn't enough for people visiting the theme parks. Because people do visit the theme parks from these lots, it is possible for them to run out of parking.
