Best way to Hoop-De-Doo

We will be trying to get to the show from the CBR. What is the best route to take if you are relying on Disney transportation?

The Caribbean Beach bus to Magic Kingdom and then the Fort Wilderness Boat Launch from the front of MK. This way you are dropped off with in steps of Pioneer Hall. The only other way to get there is to take the bus from CBR to another location (Epcot, Downtown Disney, MGM) and then transfer to the Fort Wilderness bus but that bus will in turn drop you off at the front of FW where you would then have to transfer to an internal bus to get to HDD. The MK option is much easier

When leaving HDD the sometimes have direct transportation back to the resorts set up at Pioneer Hall. But if they don't you would need to take the boat back to MK (if it is still running, depends on what show time you are going to) and then bus from MK back to CBR. If the MK boat is not running anymore you would need to take the intenal FW bus to the parking area (the bus drivers will let you know which one that is) and then the best way to get back is to take the DTD bus and switch to the CBR bus from there.

I find it odd that the launch drops you close to the hall, but so far from the bus stops. How far is this hall from the front of the lodge? Seems like the boat launch may be far away from many of the rooms at the lodge.

HDD is at the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds... Not the Wilderness Lodge. The boat launch drops off at the Marina which is next to the hub of things to do at the Campgrounds. The boat rentals, the beach, the gift store, Crockets Tavern, Trails End Buffeteria, Hoop Dee Doo, the Petting farm, the Carriage rides. The buses drop of at the front of the Campgrounds where the main transportation is set up (and the check in area) then from the main transportation area they have internal campground buses that pick up and drop off at the different campsite loops.

haha, its so confusing that there are TWO resorts called "wilderness" - took me weeks to figure that out. haha...

I have a carriage ride at 7, then hoop dee doo at 9... I want to take the boat from MK.. what time should I plan to be on the boat?? I already reliaze that we won't be able to take the boat back to the MK. everything closes so early, sigh.

It depends on what time MK closes on that day. I would plan for about 6:00pm if you want to be there at 7pm (just for travel time). Unless MK closes early then plan a little earlier.

with the help of you on these boards, we are doing MK the same day as hddr and taking the boat. For the ride home to POP MK has MNSSHP that night. Will we be able to take boat back to MK and then bus to Pop? Is this the best way back?

The Boat Launch from MK will take you right to the "Settlement" where HDD is located.

Or you could go to MGM and take the bus. It's the only park bus that goes to the Settlement. The rest go to the OutPost and you'll have to take an internal FW bus from there.
