Best way to get to Studio City?

We will be at Disneyland from 7/26 to 8/2 and will not be renting a car. I just received notification that we have tickets to see The Talk show at CBS Studios which is about forty miles away from Disneyland. I'm not sure how we will get there but I really want to go. Any advice would be appreciated. We have to be there before 9:45 am and I can just imagine the massive traffic jams during rush hour.

It would be a bear. You'd take Metrolink train from Anaheim to Union Station, transfer to the Red Line towards North Hollywood, exit at the Universal City station, and take the Ventura Blvd. bus to Laurel Canyon. Total time roughly 2.25 hours

You pretty much would have to rent a car the night before, then drive really, really early in the morning so as to avoid the traffic. If I were you, I wouldn't bother

You could try a shuttle. Most of these guys have been driving in L.A. for years, so they know how to avoid the freeway traffic using surface streets. Try Prime Time Shuttle. Don't know about the cost. You'd have to call for a quote.
