Best Way to get to Polynesian from Port of Orleans Riverside

We have dinner reservations at the Polynesian and are staying at the Port of Orleans - Riverside. What is the best route to get there?

Bus to MK, Monorail to Poly.
Could take an hour depending on time of day.

Or....bus to MK, then boat over to the Polynesian. The boat tends to be a lot less crowded than the monorail, and is very pleasant...as long as it isn't cold or raining!! The boat will stop at the GF first, then go to the Polynesian, then return to the MK...it is a pretty constant loop.

We used to use the WDW transportation system to get everywhere. However, we have just discovered that it sometimes is easier to just take a taxi, especially for meal reservations at resorts, and it really doesn't cost that much.
