Best way to get to Cape May.....

Can someone help me with a transportation issue? We have adr's at Cape May at 7:30 and plan to be in Hollywood Studios all day, we would like to try to see the Osbourne Lights before we leave the park (they start around 6, right?). What is the quickest way for us to get over to the Boardwalk from Hollywood Studios? We will have our own car with us, but our happy to use Disney transportation as well.

Take the boat, it stops right there (2nd stop i think?), then you can return same way. Do the lights really start that early (6pm?)--??-- i was thinking it was later than that.

So will the boat still be running after we finish dinner to get us back to HS's parking lot to get our car?

I could totally be wrong on the 6 pm for the lights, I just read that in another thread.

Lights will start 5:30-6 ish (I don't remember exactly from last year). It will be dark by then.

Take the Friendship boat to the BC or walk (there is a walkway on the BW side of Crescent lake).
After dinner the boats should still be running (generally for an hour after park closing). If they're not running or too crowded, you can walk back to DHS easily. From the BC, walk towards the Swan & Dolphin, then take the bridge to BW. Right after getting off the bridge, turn right and walk past the BW Villas all the way to DHS. It's about a 15-20 minute walk.

If you are driving to HS that day, then I would just drive to the BC for your Cape May reservation. Driving yourself will be much quicker than the boat because the boat makes multiple stops.
