Best way to get to Boma

We have an ADR at 6pm for Boma in September for a Monday night. We are staying at Grand Floridian. Should we take a bus to Animal Kingdom then a bus from there to AKL? Is there a better bus line? Or should we just do a taxi?

Taxi or take a bus to an open park or DTD and transfer.

Monorail to MK than take bus to AKL. Or taxi, but I think that's too expensive. Or rent a car in general. Renting always saves up time and $$. That way we aren't always chained to the WDW bus/monorail system. Whether it's taking our time to leave to the airport, needing to run to a store outside WDW, whatever, we don't have to depend on Disney's sometimes unreliable transportation system.

Or you could make it a late night at AK then take the bus back to AKL as well.

We always take a taxi to Boma. It was around done $12 last time from AoA and worth every penny!

definitely a taxi. You'll get there in a fraction of the time

You will need about an hour if you are leaving from GF to AKL. But if you are going to be in a park that day just hop on the bus to AKL. If you end up getting to AKL early you can go out and see the animals on the Savannah, because they will be active at that time, and there is a great bar to get a drink or 2 before Boma, if you like to drink.

Thanks for all the advice. Not sure I want to put the kids through waiting for buses around that time, so it may be best for us to invest in a taxi.
