I have ressie's for mom and I for tea at Garden View Lounge at GF at 1:30pm on a Tuesday (Oct 27, my birthday!). We're staying at CBR and planning to just hang out at the pool in the morning, then we are going to MNSSHP that night, hoping to get into the MK at 4:00.

So, I have a couple different options as we will have a rental car, but I'm not really crazy about the idea of driving that night as it'll probably be a late night. If my plan is to take the bus to MK and then boat over to GF (I've never taken the boat to a resort!) how much time should I give it; i.e. what time should I leave CBR? I was hoping to get a later ressie, but alas, the only time available at my 90 day mark was 1:30pm.

If you had a rental car, would you drive to GF and then move the car over to the MK parking lot? I guess we would have time to do that after tea before going to the party at 4:00pm. Would that be better?

Thoughts?

We stayed at the CBR this month and had dinner at Ohana at the Poly. Taking advice from DIS we took the bus to MK and then we planned to take the monorail to Poly. I wasn't even really aware of the boats. When we saw the resort boats we decided to take that. It was a very relaxing, scenic ride. The GF was the first stop before Poly so it would be quicker for you. I guess the boat ride to the Poly took less than 15 minutes. I took tons of pictures of the resorts and of the castle and Space Mountain from the boat.

To get from CBR to MK I'd leave 25 minutes and at least 15 to get to GF. Really, I'd want to leave my CBR room an hour before the ressie and my wife would want to leave 30 minutes early. They won't cancel you if you're late and you might wait if you show up right on time. We had to wait 15 minutes at the Poly but enjoyed using that time to look around the lobby area. They had pagers there, not sure about your restaraunt.
