Best Way to get started Pin Trading?

I've been interested in starting a pin collection ever since our last trip to WDW and saw tons of people with their lanyards, trading, buying, etc. What is the best way for someone like me who has no pins to get started with this pin trading/collecting?

But if you still insist, you just missed a great sale on pin bags and pins on disneystore.com.

You can get some decent bargains on cheappins.com. They also sell bags. You can also get some deals on eBay.

Choose a character or a theme too. Otherwise you can go crazy in all different directions. With new pins coming out daily, it can get overwhelming.

I recommend buying 25 or so of the same pin from cheappins.com and then trading out of them. Then when you have "diversified" you can pick a theme or decide which pins in your new "portfolio" you want to trade.
