I posted some pictures a while ago trying to find out where we had gone snorkelling. After talking to my mum, who said we were trying to see manatee's, I'm pretty sure now it was in Crystal River.

I won't be driving, so what's the best way to get there? Or are there any other places to snorkel that's part of a day trip or something? It doesn't have to be crystal river, but we would really like to go snorkelling somewhere other than shark reef.

We have just returned from our break and yes can recommend Crystal River we are fortunate that our friends live there and we used their car and boat. I fab experience the season for manatees in numbers swimming close in the river there really finishes around late February, there are tours available who perhaps can recommend some other places so you dont miss them, we also had dolphins as we was on the boat heading out towards the Golf from the river. Myers transport seems recommended a lot on the forum:hippie:

Oh I'm not too fussed about swiming with manatees, not when the children are so young. I just wanted to go back there again, or if not somewhere else we can snorkel. The kids really want to try snorkelling somewhere other than the bath! lol

Thanks for your reply.

Anyone have any idea how much it would cost?

I know it's not exactly the same but you can snorkel at Typhoon Lagoon, and it's included in the park admission :goodvibes

I think you can book day trips from Orlando up to Crystal River - I can't remember where I saw it advertised but if you're not driving that could be a good option!

That's exactly what I was thinking Lucy. I have two days planned for Seaworld and I really don't think we'll use one, so we have a day spare. Could really do with an other slow day too! lol

Woo! Just added this onto my tickets lol £77! £55 for the kiddies. They've heard just about everything we're doing so I'm going to keep this one a secret.

If I can..... lol
