Best way to get from Magic Kingdom to MGM?

Sorry, I can't seem to find the answer to this question anywhere.

We're looking to leave the MK after the afternoon parade and go straight to MGM, where we have reservations for a Fantasmic dining package. Is there a direct way to make this transfer (ie, a bus that goes directly from MK to MGM), or do I have to transfer at a resort?

They are right on..either walk to Contemporary and catch a bus or take a bus to the Swan and then bus or ferry to MGM.

we are here right now and there is no direct way,you have to go to a resort like we did today{we went to contemporary}to get to DTD,give yourself enough time at least 1 hour for traveling,the bus service is not great and it takes time,we were 2 minutes before our Hoopdeedoo last night and they were about to sell our tickets!!!

Walk over to the Comtemporary via the pathway. It takes about 8 minutes and drops you right at the CR bus stop. Jump on a bus to MGM.

You could also catch an MGM bus at the Transportation and Ticket Center, but I think it may be easier just to walk to the Contemporary as you would have to take a monorail or ferry to the TTC.
