We are 2 adults and 1 child and have never been to the US before, and will be very tired from travelling from Western Australia. We thought of catching a taxi from LAX, which would probably be around $100; is that right? Is there a more economical option? If anything we'd rather pay more to get to our hotel (Park Vue Inn) sooner, than wait around for a charter bus. And to be dropped off at our hotel rather than have to walk from a depot. But if it means only small compromises and big savings, then I'd love to hear about it.

Just googled SuperShuttle -
http://www.supershuttle.com/FareQuote/FareQuote.aspx

they seem to have something called BusinessExpress Srv by ExecuCarExpress that holds 5 - private - for $61 one way. Sounds better than a taxi to me. $48 for a shared van - not worth the difference.
Good luck!

hobbit, we flew in from Sydney last October. I had organised a town car through B & W Limos. The service was great. The driver was already waiting for us with a luggage trolley as soon as we set foot outside the doors. He took all our bags and gave us ice cold bottles of water as soon as we got in the car.

I can't remember the exact price as we used them for about 4 or 5 different transfers and just paid one amount at the end. I am definately sure that it was less than $100 though.

Let me know if I can help with anything else.

that sounds great; do you have a link for B & W limos?

I think it is bwlimos.com. Also if you book them for more than one transfer be sure to ask for a discount, they gave me 10% off the total as I had several transfers booked

Hi,

We booked an ExecuCar transfer from Lax to Anaheim. It was great no stops at other hotels just direct to the hotel, which is great after a long flight. They provided us (5 people) with a large van, it easily fit all our cases plus a pram. If you google supershuttle coupons, you'll find some codes that will save you a few dollars. We used the same service in a couple of other cities too. If you don't have a phone, we headed to the Supershuttle stand outside the airport and they called for us. Only waited around 10 minutes.

Thanks Kalice. I just checked them out and they look good. I note your're in Perth! Where abouts? I live near Murdoch Uni.

I'm in the northern suburbs, near Hillary's marina. You'll love Disneyland, it was the favourite part of our trip for me.

I'm considering using ExecuCar, can you please tell me where they met you, did you go to the usual supershuttle waiting spot or do they meet you inside the airport? Thanks :thumbsup2

I asked for a quote from B & W limos and it was $131, and that was for 3 people. How did you get it for under $100 aussiegirl?

I don't think there was a trick to getting it under $100. As I said I am not exactly sure the price of that transfer but I think it was prob about $90 and then an additional 10% off that. Maybe the prices have gone up since then or something :confused3 .

But I will tell you one thing, the service was impeccable and I will definately be using them when we go again regardless of how much extra it costs. The convenience, the courtesy, the whole experience was definately worth it for us :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I'll second B&W limo. We used them on our last trip earlier this month! We had the stretch limo booked to take us both to and from LAX. We had 7 people and 6 suitcases, so on the way to DLR It was a tight squeeze (not us, the luggage). 4 suitcases would fit in the trunk and 2 rode up front with the driver. Coming home we had 8 suitcases (souveniers), so I asked for the 15 pax van instead. The van was more comfortable than the stretch limo and cheaper at the same time! $190 for the stretch limo, $175 for the 15 pax van! Great service both ways!

We like Disneyland Express too. However, we've grown tired of waiting nearly an hour, because we get in so early. So we would use it again ONLY if we were arriving during a time that they pick up every half hour.
