We will be staying at HoJo in June at DL and want to visit Legoland one day.

How far away is it?

What is the best way to get there?

There will be 3 of us, how much is the cost?

Thanks for any info!

we just did this a couple weeks ago. We stayed at HOJO and drove to Legoland for a day. It takes about 45mins to an hour depending on traffic. You take I-5 south to Exit 48 Cannon Road and there are signs from there. We got there when they opened at 10 and where done around 3:30 or so. We were able to find a deal online for tickets. I believe it cost $49 for an adult... Not sure though. Go to there website and it should say.

costco.com sells discounted tickets

We won't have a car so is there a bus to take, or a travel company like Mears in Florida?

Thanks!

Wow...only an hour, I thought it was a longer drive. That's an easy day trip with no traffic. (Would there be much traffic on I 5 from Legoland back to DLR at 4-6pm?)

I called Grayline, they pick you up at your hotel at 8:30 and everyone meets at a certain destination. Then at 9:15 they leave for legoland getting there around 11:00.

Coming back they leave at 5:30 and get back around 7:30.

The price is $77 for adults and $67 for a child and includes admission.

So it looks like around 2 hours each way.

I also called San Diego Tours and their times were about the same but the price was $8 a person more.

I wonder if someone who is familiar with the Train would comment on:

- How much the train would be from Anaheim - Coronado (?) & back.
- What the cab fares would be (train stations to parks)
- & most important....can you get to the LegoLand rope drop (using the train.)?

To me it seems silly that you have to "meet" at 8:30am & you don't enter the park till 11am.

I wonder if this Grayline makes stops? But more importantly....It's a train!!
