Best way to get from EPCOT to Trail's End for dinner

We have ADR at Trail's End Restaurant at 6:45pm on the day we'll be in EPCOT. I saw in a Mousesavers article that the best route is to take a bus from Epcot to the Contemporary or Wilderness Lodge and take the boat from there to Ft. Wilderness.

Any thoughts?? How much time should I allow?

I would agree with that suggestion. On our last trip we went for breakfast and drove. It seemed to take forever to get there on the internal bus from the main parking lot. Taking the boat from either the WL or CR would drop you at the dock that is much closer to the restaurant.

By the way, this place is very much a hidden gem. Food is very good and it seems like no one really knows about it since it is almost never crowded (just watch out for the Hoop De Doo crowds...

Thanks Mickey Maniac for the thumbs up...this will be our first time at Trail's End. I had heard the same, that's it's a hidden gem that's why we're trying it this trip.

While you are at the Epcot bus line, look for a bus to either CR or WL since you can catch the boat at either one of these to FW. The first bus from either of these and I would be jumping on.

I wonder why no one wanted to ride the monorail to the TTC and then to CR? We get enough of riding the buses and my kids like riding the monorail. Just a thought if you had the time and your kids like the monorail.

I did think about the monorail but I thought it might be too time consuming to go from Epcot to TTC, TTC to resort loop which would make the Contemporary the last stop as it goes clockwise, and then walk down to the boats. We might do that on the way back to Epcot.

Another option is to take the bus to MK and then boat to FW.

All 3 options should take about the same amount of time although I would lean toward taking the bus to WL.

One thing to be aware of... there are two boats that run between FW/CR/WL (not counting the boat that goes to MK). One runs CW the other CCW. If both show up at the same time make sure you get on the on that goes to FW or else you will be making an extra stop.

Are you taking about a bus from epcot?

there is no bus to MK from Epcot. Even if there was, it would probably go to the TTC like the other park busses (MGM and AK).
