best way to get from DHS to Boardwalk

I was wondering what is the best way to get from DHS to the Boardwalk? Isn't there a boat??

As you leave the park there is a boat to the left. That is only quicker if the boat is there. You can then get off at the first stop (S/W) and walk over the bridge to the BW (instead of making a stop at the Y/BC and then the BW). There is also a walking path to the right that we take instead of the boat. It takes 10 - 15 min. but we find it to be quicker than taking the boat. So you really have two options.

Previous poster is right on the money. I stay at BW a lot...and it's only when I travel with me eldest dd that I take the boat. The younger dd just laughs and says 'hey, we could have been at BW by now instead of standing here, waiting for the boat.'
If the boat is there, loading, then take the boat. But if you can't see a boat coming in or at the dock, you will make better time by walking. I can make it from DHS to BW in about 12 mins but I'm walking quickly. If you take the boat, get off at the S/D and walk over the bridge to BW...much quicker than getting off at BW. The boat has to leave S/D and go to YC, then to BW...about 10 mins.
