That works and it's how we have done it in the past. We also have done a taxi from DTD to AKL and for our family of 4 it was about $20 with tip.Would work alright if we took the bus from AK to AKL and then bus to DTD from AKL ?

Definitely not AKL. It took forever. Over an hour.
Thats a good question. What resorts are the best ones to transfer to DTD ?
.I think pop century is quickest.
Is there a reason no one goes to SSR to get from AK to DTD? I do it all the time. You can either walk to Cirque, via the walkway thru the golf course, or you can get off at Grandstand stop (first bus stop from the parks to SSR) and just sit down and wait for the DTD bus to come. It should go directly to DTD from the Grandstand stop. Going to Cirque, I would get off at the second DTD stop.

Since SSR is rather large and has multiple bus stops, I think its more complicated for people who aren't familiar with the resort and/or with WDW transportation than transferring at a resort with only one bus stop. I recommend Pop Century because it makes sense geographically and it has very good, quick bus service and only one bus stop.
