Best way to get a Cat 3?

i also found out due to the great people here that some cat 3 are larger then others, even have bigger verandahs, someone sent me pics and the number so i called up and requested it.

Thanks for all your replies. I called allseasons and got my Cat 3 for the April 22, 2006 cruise. Now, I just have to worry about paying for it.

Does anyone have any pics of a Cat 3 that is not a handicap room? I saw one on DCLtribute and castaway but would like to see some more to make sure it's worth the thousands of dollars :)

That's who we used too. They have been great. I have changed dates a number of times and each time they were able to secure me a midship Cat. 3. We have 8034 for our December 2006 cruise.

Please don't laugh, roll your eyes, or sigh! What's the big deal with Cat. 3 rooms, are they the best on the ship? We finished our land & sea a few weeks ago, TA never stressed importance of picking a Cat. Please enlighten me? We just had an inside stateroom Deck 6. Hoping for a verandah if I can swing a 7 day western in 2007.Any suggestions?

On our cruise, I had a Cat. 4 and my parents had a Cat 3. We were right down the hall from one another. The Cat 4 was fine for my family. We were in the room very little and I would not pay more for a suite.

However, it was a special occasion and my parents are used to luxury, so it was nice for them. Plus, there was room for a lot of us to gather in there for chats if we wanted.

I have a small photo album of a Midship Cat. 3 (8034). If you want to see it, PM your regular e-mail address to me.

There are some good pictures of Cat 3 staterooms on the DCL DVD!

We secured our March, 2006 Cat 3 stateroom when we sailed this past September, 2004. The booking agent on board the Magic (Donna) faxed our request for us. When the 2006 dates/rates were announced in October, DCL called with our reservation. We even received our $200 onboard rebooking credit. Very nice!

Afoss...Fax your request now. Chances are very good that you are not too late! Good luck. :wave2:

Happy Sailing, everyone! :boat:

Yes, the DCL DVD has pictures of Cat. 3's, but they're Midship ones, not Regular Cat. 3s. There is a BIG difference between the two (the mid-ship Cat. 3 has a triple wide balcony, bigger living room, and the pull-down bed is in the living room -- the regular one is a double wide, smaller living space, and the pull-down is in the master bedroom). I just don't want anyone to be upset if their suite doesn't look like the one on the DVD.
