Best way to Ft. Wilderness from POR

We have a dining reservation at the Fort Wilderness Trails End which I'm tempted to cancel because of the Disney Bus systems hasn't been the best. Finding wait times much higher than 20 minutes!

I assume I would need to hop on a bus to ANY park and then find the Ft. Wilderness terminal and wait there. Then catch another bus to Trails End.

Is there a better solution?

If you are near the Magic Kingdom or the Contemporary you can catch a boat to Ft. Wilderness, then walk to Trails End which is very close to the boat dock.

I would do as the PP said. Maybe spend that day at MK, then take the boat ( about a 20 minute ride ) over to FW. It's just a short walk from the dock to Trails End.

Is it breakfast at Trails End or dinner at Trails End?? If it's breakfast you might want to cancel anyway. The breakfast has gone way downhill. The dinner is still pretty good.

Best way to trails End from PO is to take the bus to MK and then boat to FW. What really stinks is that you pass FW when going from PO to MK. Too bad they can't just let you off as you pass.

If you go to any other park you would need to take 3 buses... one to that park, one to FW, and then internal FW bus. Also any of the other 3 parks you are going in the opposite direction than you need to go to FW.

If you had a car it would be much quicker to drive to FW which is less than 2 miles from PO and then take the FW internal bus.

Thanks! I already cancelled it... I figure it would eat up too much time before the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party... DW and DS are taking a much needed NAP before the party... I'm relaxing with crackers, cheese, and an adult beverage! We will hit counter service before heading out... LOL!
