What is the best way to display the pins you carry to trade? We've been collecting pins to trade over the past 8 wks. because we're going on the DCL in 2 wks. We have about 100 pins to trade and have no idea how to display them. My DH wants me to buy an apron and wear them on that. I feel this could become bothersome and said to fit as many as possible on a lanyard (which we don't own yet...we're going to Downtown Disney before the cruise to purchase one). How many pins will fit on a lanyard? I know some use books, but I feel this would also become a pain carrying it around. Any ideas? What do you all do?

Hey,
I could fit about 20 pins on my lanyard. When I went to Disneyworld a couple of months ago, I divided the pins I wanted to trade by how many days I was going to be there. That way, I took a set amount to trade everyday and they generally all fit on my lanyard. The last day I had a few extras but I just put them in my pocket.
Hope this helps!

Do you carry a small pin bag or a back pack?
I have lanyards, but find myself constantly checking to make sure the backs are secure -- esp if you want to wear more than one! (Never lost a pin yet.) And then I have to take it on and off for rides.
What I started is carrying a small binder of many of my traders. I found a date book/organizer size binder. I cut foam sheets to fit and layered felt sheets in between the pages. This small binder fits perfect inside the velcro pouches of my large pin bag. But this binder would fit great in a backpack. And it isn't heavy.
In the parks, I will probably still wear one lanyard, at times.

I hope you post how your trading goes on the ship when you et back. I am going in early Jan and hope to do some trading then, too. I plan to wear a lanyard and carry a small pin bag. I put one of each kind on the lanyard or in the bag, and if I have extras, I have them in small 2x3 plastic bags and keep them in the zippered pockets of the pin bag. That way if someone wants one I have an extra of, I can pull it out of the pocket and leave the bag in tact.

Good luck on your trading. Leave some for me, please...............

some people wear more than one lanyard--would hubby volunteer to wear one for you?
