Best way to determine booking dates?

I have recently closed on a contract a BWV. I should be in the DVC system in the next week or two. What is the best way to determine dates for the 11th month booking window and the 7th month booking window?

If I have an April use year, when can I book 6 nights for the week of April 15, 2007 at my home resort.

Use year has nothing to do with when you can make a reservation. You can always make a reservation 11 months from your check out day at your home resort and 7 months at all of the others

For example you have a trip planned that will end on March 1, 2007. You can call on April 1, 2006 for your home resort. Its that simple.

So for April 15 through April 22, 2007 you could call on May 22, 2006.

When booking for April school vacation week, would one be better off doing a day to day booking than waiting until the last day to book the entire week ? If you wait until the 22nd to book the 7 days, don't you risk having the 15th thru the 21st already booked ? Has this been a problem with people in the past ?

April isn't too bad unless the time you are going is attached to Easter. Next year Easter is in early April. Not too many places will have that late of a vacation next year. Day by day is more necessary for standard views at the BWV and Grand Villas.
