Best Way to Buy Tickets?

Hello, we are doing our first trip to Universal Studios/IOA for my daughter's birthday. We all ready have a reservation for two nights at Portofino Bay which I believe gives us those front of the line passes, but we need tickets. Should I call Universal Studios for the best options? We would like two day tickets and really only plan to do one park per day. Is that an option or do we need to get the four day/park hopper even though I don't think we need it? We are Florida residents. Thank you for any advice!

Tickets are more expensive at the gate.

If you get single park only tickets, you can’t ride the Hogwarts Express train as its not just a ride but a transport between the parks. If you don’t have a big Harry Potter fan it may not matter enough to you to justify the extra expense.

You can view the Florida residence tickets on the Universal web page and buy online or wait and purchase at the ticket counter at the hotel.

You can do 2 day one-park-per-day tickets. If you find you would like to park hop, you can add that while there (including right at the Hogwarts Express). Even if you don't, you can still see the train; there's often a conductor out taking photos with the muggles.

You can buy them online and pick up the physical tickets at the vacation planning desk at the hotel. You will want to get to the hotel early and check in before going to the parks. Your room keys are your express passes . You get express access for check in and check out days so 2 night hotel stay is 3 days of express access in the park.

The 2 parks are right next to each unlike WDW so park to park is super useful especially if it’s starts to storm and the outdoor rides of IoA shut down, you can go over to studios where there are more indoor rides/shows.
