Best way from Ron Jon's to Port on morning of the cruise?

We will be usind FL Tours to take us from MCO to Ron Jon's. But I have heard that Ron Jon's doesn't have a shuttle to the port. What is the best way to get to the ship?

I'm thinking Taxi but does anyone else have a better solution?

Just rent a car one-way from MCO and drop off at one of the nearby car rental agency and they will shuttle you to the ship.
It's a very easy drive.

Use a taxi. The rental car agencies are further away from Ron Jons than the pier and in the opposite direction. Its probably less than a mile as the crow flies (straight over the water) and just a tad bit longer using a vehicle (out and around). It was around $10 even with the tip. Being that Ron Jon makes you check out so early grab a taxi and you will be in line before the terminal opens normally.

If you chose a rental car as Jimbo said...I would rent at MCO and return it to Port Canaveral. We have used Thrifty/Dollar. Even with a drop-off fee they were the cheapest. Remember the car rental shuttle will be extremely busy on a cruise day.

We have done it both with a taxi and a rental shuttle. The taxi is easiest. Use the rental option if you are doing things outside of Ron Jon like Kennedy Space Center, Wal-Mart, etc

BTW. WE LOVE RON JON RESORT!!!! Always have so much there.

How are you getting to Ron Jon from the airport? If you have a rental car you can return the car to the rental agency and they will shuttle you to the port. Budget runs 3 shuttle vans to and from the Port. When the cruise is over Budget has a shuttle van wait to take you back to the car rental location where you can rent another vehicle. We did this and the cost was under $40 each rental.

We're using FL Tours to get us to the port area so we won't have a car and renting a car for a mile of travel seemed a bit excessive. Two cabs ought to be able to transport our group and for about $10 that's pretty cost effective. Thanks!
