I’m not sure if this has been asked before, but what’s the best way to get from LAX to Disneyland? Disneyland express? Super shuttle, rental car? Ive seen good and bad reviews on all the different options. Opinions?

How many people? How much luggage?

If you can fit all your people and luggage in a Toyota Prius - or similarly sized car... I would say Uber/Lyft is the fastest easiest way to do it.

It's been asked approximately one million times. If you do a search, you should find plenty of threads with all the options.

The answer to the question as asked is "it depends".

Is cost a factor? Because I would think having a limo driver waiting for you as you leave the airport would be the best way to go but that's not in everyone's budget nor does it make sense if you actually want to do any driving around during your trip. We do days off in between parks so we always rent a car.

If you do opt for a rental than my suggestion is to shop around for prices - we have found Costco to be the best and whoever you rent from, make sure you sign up for their frequent rental program as that will likely save you a LOT of time when picking up your vehicle from the rental location. We are members of FastBreak with Budget and we get dropped off at the Fastbreak location before they drop off everyone else at the main building, we look on a screen to see where our car is parked, get in, drive to the exit, they validate our license and credit card and inside of a minute we are on our way . You want the pick up to be easy and not have to wait in a long line as counter pickup is SLOW. Also, this is after already waiting for a shuttle to take you to the rental location from the airport terminal.

I agree more information would help...hotel, number and age of guests, duration of stay, etc. Will you be spending entire time at the resort? And want to see more of So. Cal.

All options have pluses and minuses.

While I normally recommend having a car to get around So. Cal. (there isn't much of interest to walk to near DLR besides the resort itself), but the official DL hotels, and many others, charge nightly for parking and that adds up quickly. If just going to the parks with no need to go anywhere else.

If traveling with small kids, you have to allow for the car seat for uber/lyft, rental cars, and some other options.

1 person, 1 bag, staying at castle inn, not planning on doing anything else besides Disney. I’m generally looking for the easiest, quickest way, without getting a personal limo and driver.

Easiest and quickest definitely Uber/Lyft for that scenario. Get picked up at the terminal and dropped off at your hotel and vice-versa. Probably not cheapest, but competitive enough.

I have used Super Shuttle twice. The first time it went smooth as silk and I loved using their app to track my van. The second time, well, the van nearly broke down and couldn't crest about 40 mph for the last part of the trip. Plus this van was kinda dirty too. The pickup van was super nice, but they mixed up my flight number resulting in a very early pickup. I just went with it, but I never gave the time, just a flight number, and I think their system thought it left much earlier than my flight did, so I was at the airport like 4 hours early at like 4 in the morning!

Any of the services have a chance of fouling up somehow. I think the key is to give yourself plenty of time. Good luck!

I‘ll just hop on this thread...

I am looking for something „reliable“ time-wise, especially for the way back to LAX. We are 3 adults staying at the BW anahaim inn, just doing Disneyland and we are planning for the disney shuttle ( as it is way cheaper than a rental and as far as I have read more reliable than super shuttle). Just wanted to ask if anyone has any „recent“ experience with it...
I‘ve read so much bad stuff about all means of transportation from lax to Disney and back that I am kind of scared about missing flights even with a 3-4h safety precaution :confused3

Super Shuttles gross me out and the drivers are so hit or miss. Uber/Lyft is probably your best bet. There are tons of Uber/Lyft drivers in LA/OC and they make this route all the time. Or it may work out cheaper and more convenient to rent a car and drop it at the other end, if you can get a great price. That way you can stop for a grocery run if needed.

This is the exact reason we won't use Super Shuttle anymore! Our trip from airport to hotel no one was at the check in point and it felt like forever until we got in a van. Then they circled and circled until the van was full. He didn't seem to know his way there and drove very slow. It took 2 hours to get to hotel.

Thankfully on the way back the driver was young, fast, knew his way around. But at the same time he was driving a little scary. So we can't live with the unpredictability of supershuttle anymore.
