Best way from Disneyland Paris to CDG?

When I will be departing Disneyland Paris, I will need to leave for CDG at around 6:00 am to catch a flight.

Does transportation run that early?

What is the best way to make the journey: taxi, rail, or Disney shuttle?

Having a look at the Useful Info sticky it would appear that shuttles do not start till much later. A taxi might be your best option or booking a hotel closer to the airport so that you are not wasting a day's booking at a Disney hotel :)

At that hour, a taxi would be best.

Even though we are travelling during the day so busses run regularly when we costed out the difference between a taxi and the VEA bus we found a taxi will cost 140 euros (about £95) in total for both journeys the VEA will cost 116 euros (about £80) adults 16 euros children 13 euros so for us the a difference of 24 euros (£16)
We felt even with regular buses for us the extra £16 was worth a direct route to our hotel with no stops and an immediate pick up.
We are using http://www.rstransports.com/ who we have found very helpful.
They have also been recommended on this site.

I agree!

You'll need to let us know how your taxi journey goes . It might be better for our trip in October. We will have six passengers though so might need two taxi's. I don't know if they do 7 seaters . I'll have to do some more investigation !

Angela - it says on the RS Transport site that they can do groups of up to eight, and a return shuttle for six would cost 180 euros.

We were able to get a taxi van at CDG for the five of us, all adults. Unfortunately, I don't recall if it was large enough to carry six passengers plus the driver.

Thank you for this info! Although RSTransport will cost about $30.00 more to go from hotel to CDG than the VEA...it will be worth it for the convenience! To catch the VEA at the right time, we would have to get ourselves and our luggage from the Movenpick (where we are staying) to the Disneyland Hotel, leave earlier than we would like, just to get to the airport on time and go through all the stops. With RSTransport, they can pick us up at the Movenpick at the time we need! :thumbsup2

Thanks! :teeth:

Thank you for the information! I am looking into the shuttles that are 25 Euros or less. Should I be worried that they will drive me all over Paris or do I need to look into higher-priced transportation? I don't mind sharing a ride, as long as the shuttle does not stop at 50 stops.

Help... I am new to this so please bear with me....

I am hoping to take my 3 year old daughter to DLP staying at the movenpick mid november. Could anyone give me some advice as to the best way to get all 3 of us to the hotel from the CDG airport ? we will to be arriving at the airport at about 11am and will be departing the airport at around 6pm, all during the week.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

:cheer2:

VEA shuttle is the easiest way to get from CDG to DLP. Have a look at the Useful Info thread sticky at the top :)

I would have thought the easiest would be the train but I would agree with whoever suggested a hotel near the airport the night before. :confused3

 Many thanks for yor reply to my post Cyrano, I am looking into the VEA option . Thanks again, Beltane. :)

After looking at some of the train schedules, it looks easy to take the train from the Marne La Vallee (station close to DL) to the CDG.
The problem is, I can not make reservations, it tells me there are none available.
It tells me this for any date I have tried between these two stations.
Is this a route that does not require a reservation?
It looks like there are lots of trains running this route.

What dates were you trying to set up for?
What web address were you using?

It seems to work now, so I am not certain what I was doing before.
I have been using www.raileurope.com

Since I already ordered (and recieved) my rail pass, and my other tickets, I would now have to pay a $15 shipping charge.
So I think I will wait until I am there, to buy a reservation for this segment.

Is a reservation really needed?
My friend (who talked to the travel agency we use for our business travel) was told that one can still get on the train, but may not get a seat.

I am noticing that the train ride is only 20 minutes, however a Taxi takes an hour.
Is this due to traffic, or do these trains just travel very very fast?
Is it safe to stand on a train moving that fast (I guess it must be or people wouldn't be allowed to do it).

Thank you

When we took the train, it only took 10 minutes. It was a high speed train. We booked two days in advance and got reserved seats. Since it was only 10 minutes, some people just stood at the end of the car next to the baggage racks.
