The directions on the website for the townhome we will be renting say to take the airport south exit to toll road 417 south, take this to exit #2 (Celebration ave to 192). Follow signs to 192 West and then go left on 192 until Old Lake Wilson Rd. exit....

Does this sound OK to folks? When I look at the map there seem to be more straightforward ways to get there but I know that looking at a map does not necessarly reflect the realities of driving there.

I take 417 from the airport too. I think the directions are fine. I usually go a little further, and get off at Osceola Parkway, but that's cause I'm hanging a right at Gaylord Palms and hitting the Publix at Xentury Plaza (on the left just past the overpass). Then we get back on Osceola and follow it all the way to Sherberth Road near AKL.

Your directions are good.

That's the way we go. Once you get on 192 west it's only about 3 miles to the lights for Old Lake Wilson and take a left there and it's about 1 mile to Windsor Hills which will be on your right. There's two $1.00 toll booths on the 417 and an exit toll of 50 cents. The exit toll booth is not manned so you need exact change.

You can go to the north exit and take 528 to I - 4 and then west on 192 but I find that busier than the south exit.

I prefer the "other" route myself, I take (from the airport) 528 west, to I-4 West, to 192 west, turn left on Old Lake Wilson Road (south), Windsor Hills is on your right 1/2 mile down at the bottom of the hill (there's a right turn lane, it's a fast road and comes up fast, don't miss it!).

On 528 west you will pay a few tolls, have about $1.50 in quarters with you.

I think it's shorter and a bit quicker personally, perhaps not around rush hour when I-4 is busy, but I'm from Chicago where the traffic is horrendous so Orlando traffic seems light to me almost always in comparison. I've never been stuck in traffic on this route or even found it to be slow really though.

Now you have 2 routes to choose from though!

Here's the address of the resort in case you want to map it from the airport (which the code for is MCO).

Windsor Hills Resort
2600 N Old Lake Wilson Road
Kissimmee, FL 34747

I just drove up I-4 this morning to the airport in Monday morning Orlando rush hour...no problems at all, it wasn't bad in the least, drove 55-60 the whole way.

Well, one big problem, had to come home to Chicago where it's cold...brrr!!! LOL
