Best way for boy to carry iPhone around?

hi!
We are going to WDW in February! There will be several young teenage boys in our group and they want to carry their iPhones. But they do not have pockets with buttons/zippers. I was thinking of buying them fanny packs for Christmas but is their any other option that they might like better?

I don't know if teenagers would want to carry fanny packs around. Might not be in style at the moment. If their pockets are too shallow for a phone, how about a string backpack a.k.a. sackpack?

Agree.
Not in style or cool.
I agree with the string backpack.
That way they could carry other stuff like battery pack etc.
And I would make sure they have shock cases/glass covers on them.

Would they wear a runner's belt? It can be worn under their shirt and safely holds the phone and other small items. It's a great pickpocket preventer.

I think most pockets will fit a phone. Teenagers will pack what they wear normally I would think. If they have them and have no problems normally, no reason to think they would have a problem in Disney.

No offense to anyone for mentioned things, but I could guarantee no teenager wants to be seen with a fanny pack, holster, or belt that holds things. The backpack could work, but if they have nothing else they want to carry just let them keep them in their normal everyday pockets.

I don't see why they would need pockets with buttons or zippers? The phones will be just fine in their pockets.

However if not, then I'd go with a drawstring bag they can keep on their back. Lightweight, quick through security, and they can bring it with them on all rides.

I wouldn't do a fanny pack, big heavy backpack, holster, or arm band holder.

Teenage boys should be capable of figuring out how to carry their own phones. My husband always carries his in pockets without buttons or zippers without incident.

I am 40 years old and I wouldn't have been caught dead with a fanny pack when I was a teenager. They haven't gotten any cooler.

I agree with the others. If their pants or shorts have pockets, there is no need to buy them anything. My DH uses an iPhone 6 Plus with a mophie case around it (which makes a large phone even larger) and simply puts it in his pocket. He has done this while touring WDW as well with no problems. Or, if they really want something else to carry it in, I would ask them what they would like and go that route instead of buying something they may not like or use.

Here's what I have found. It doesn't matter what I tell my teen about the safety of her phone. She will carry it how she will carry it, which is typically in her back pocket. In the absence of a back pocket, she will store it in the waistband of her pants.

Not to worry though. At this age, they are very aware of where their phones are at all times, and in the unlikely event that it drops out, they will notice almost immediately.

Their phones are like an arm. If it goes missing they will notice immediately and they treat their phones better than body parts.

My son used his zipperless and buttonless pockets when we went. When he's home and at the basketball court he uses a drawstring Nike bag.

How do they carry them around in normal day to day life? They can do the same at WDW. DS and his friend didn't have any problems with their phones in their pockets at WDW, and that's how they carry them around at home and around town (riding bikes to the corner store, etc.)

Just make sure they have the find my Iphone or other such app turned on in case of loss. I do agree with the others, that they will carry them however they normally do at home.

I wouldn't even bother getting them a draw string back pack. they will likely carry them in their pockets, I do and I'm a girl with much smaller pockets. At that age they will be on them quite a bit, texting, taking pictures, checking the MDE app they will want it easily accessible and will put it in their back pocket.

My own particular kid, who is merely 12, would not be allowed a $600 phone if he kept it in his pocket. He IS allowed a old wifi faux phone, that he keeps in his pocket, and loses constantly. Until he works out that issue, he doesn't get to keep $600 in his pocket. (He had a nice $100 coat from REI that he threw on the ground all the time...he doesn't have such a coat now because of how he treated that coat and the money it cost and would cost to replace. Rotten to be the middle-class kid of a mom who grew up on food stamps!)

So it would be a running belt or a belt loop case (which my kid would think is cool, but again he's 12 not quite a teen), or even his satchel, in which he carries kindle, book, and tablet. (And he never loses that, so until the phone stops getting lost, nope!)

(Not that he wants an iPhone. He's an android kid like his dad)

My daughter uses one of the waterproof phone case lanyards at the parks. Never have to worry about losing it and don't even need to take it out of the lanyard to use the phone or take pictures.
