Best Waterpark with a 4 year old?

We will be returning to WDW next March and are thinking about visiting a waterpark for the 1st time with our son. He will be nearly 4 when we are there. My question is which water park has better activities for someone his age, Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon?

My wife and I have visitied Typhoon Lagoon a number of times in prior to our son joining us but we have never been to Blizzard Beach. Our son has been to water parks in the Wisconsin Dells and the new water park attached to Six Flags outside of Chicago. He enjoys slides and wave pools, though I wonder if the gentler and smaller wave pool at Blizzard Beach might be better for him.

Thanks for any and all advice.

We have two children about the same age and both prefer TL to BB. They enjoy BB when we have gone but always ask to go back to TL. It seems to have better slides and the wave pool for the kids.

BB -- My children (ages 2.5, 5, and 13) enjoy both water parks, but there is far more for the little ones to do at BB. TL's children's area is really geared to small babies. There is only one slide, and it has a pebbly concrete bottom. It's not slippery, and it eats bathing suits! There are lots of water squirting stations, but my 2.5 yo HATES squirting water. TL's play area also always feels so much more crowded with adults. At BB, there are small racing slides, several short slides, squirting water, splashing water, and a tub ride (with attendants at both the top and bottom here!) in the kiddie area. There also is a pre-teen area. My almost 5 yo at the time (last May) was able to do a lot here with only minimal assistance from either his dad or older brother.

Totally agree with SqueakyMouse. Blizzard Beach is newer and the kiddie area is so much better overall. Well laid out with only two ways in and out, water slides, water fountains, play areas, lots of seating, close to food and lazy river. Lots of CMs to assist. BB also has a milder wave pool that they can enjoy and can probably do a few things in Ski Patrol Training area, they call it preteen, but by 10 you are pretty much too big to play there. Plus you can't beat the cartoonish theme for fun for a kid.

TL originally had a very small play area on a main path, they have expanded it but it is always crowded when we have gone, and seems like there is no way to watch your child without chasing them all over. Just made me uncomfortable and really didn't look like that much fun. We had a 3 year old there that was totally bored.
