Best waterpark in CA?

So I've found that there are several water parks around the Central CA/LA area such as Knott's Berry Farm, Six Flags, Legoland and more. Are any of them really well done with theming and slides? I read complaints on tripadvisor about Six Flags Hurricane (Harbor?) nickel and diming you to death until you've ended up paying way more than you thought you would. Plus, issues with poor maintenance.

We are used to the two water parks at WDW in Florida. I realize not much can compare to disney when it comes to theming, cleanliness, safety, etc. But out of all the water parks in CA, which is the best one and why?

I could tell.

You aren't going find anything comparable in California. Legoland's Water Park, has very nice themeing. However it is smalled and geared for non swimmers. Very few slides, mostly splash play areas.

Soak City at Knott's is a typical water park. It has a wave pool and more thirlling slides. It's not very big.

There is one place that is totally awesome, and tubular.. Raging Waters. Standard themeing and lots of slides. San Dimas High School Football Rules!

I'm not a fan of Magic Mountain. The water park theme wise is a bit like Lego Land + Raging Waters. Decent themeing here and there, regular waterpark here and there.

Keep in mind you have been to the best, these are just the rest. Also these are all seasonally operational. End of Spring through Summer and into Fall.

If you have little kids with you (like under 10), I recommend Legoland. It is very toddler and little kid friendly. Not as big as the other water parks, but very fun and safe.

My 3 year old and I went there all summer. But you need to pay for a Legoland ticket, plus add on waterpark, to get in. You cannot access the waterpark without going through Legoland first.

I have always been a fan of Wlid Rivers in Irvine.

Wild Rivers has closed so the Irvine Co. can build 12,000 more housing units there..... just what South OC needs.....

Raging Waters is a great park, but it used to have a gang problem. Not sure if they have cleaned that up, but I would check Yelp and TripAdvisor reviews.

I grew up in the Bay Area, LOVE Raging Waters. Haven't found a water park that compares yet. I live in SoCal and have done most of the other parks.
