What is the best viewing place OUTSIDE of the park for Wishes, besides Poly Beach? TIA

California Grill at Contemporary Resort or the absolute best viewing is from on of the Specialty Cruises on the lake. We were fortunate enough last December for our first Christmas at DW to book one and the viewing was awesome, snacks and drinks were provided and the music was piped to the boat.

Just an FYI to the OP...if you want to watch the fireworks from the California Grill you need to have dinner there. They will not even let you access that floor without a dinner reservation.

The best place really is the Poly beach or one of the Specialty Cruises.

wow, thank you craftymouse. We planned on going to the bar at the contemporary on our arrival night to have a drink and watch the fireworks. I didn't know about the restriction!

Yup, they now check you in downstairs and only allow access to that floor if you have a reservation.

My nephew does not like the noise of the fireworks, so we exited the park and sat on the benches just past the ticket booths but before you get to the boat docks. It was a great spot and we did not have to worry about getting to another resort or being in a restaurant. And we were ahead of the crowds getting to the buses.

go to the CR - 4th floor on the balcony - even has some seating (get there early for the sitting) the music is piped in (really hard to heard) - especially when the monrail rolls by.
