Best View for OKW

I will be staying in a one bedroom OKW in Jan. What unit should I request? I would love to see the fireworks at Epcot. Also any other tips would be very helpful

Which unit you'd like to stay in really depends on how your family enjoys vacationing. Many people like to be close to the hospitality house and the main pool. Others like a golf course view. Our favorite buildings are 45 and 46. They are NOT close to the Hospitality House but they have a wonderful view of Trumbo Canal and the boats going back and forth to Downtown Disney. They are very peaceful. Keep in mind, that buildings 1 through 29 only have one entrance into the Master Basthroom--and it goes through a small part of the bedroom. Buildings 30 and higher have an extra entrance through the utility room. If you have someone sleeping on the sofa in the living room, that extra bathroom entrance is very helpful.

I'm not sure if any of the units have great views of the Epcot fireworks--but I'm sure someone here knows and will post the info.

The ony view of the fireworks is one off in the distance. As far as which units, I don't think many will be able to give an answer, since its not really a highlight. I think that you can actually see MGM and Ecpcots fireworks, they are way off in the distance.

We have yet to have a bad view at OKW. I have never seen the Epcot fireworks from there, but the ones from DTD are visible from the South Point area. You will find most of us have our favorite areas of OKW. Some like to be near Hospitality House and the main pool. Some like the Turtle Pond quiet pool area, and still others of us like the South Point area because it is so quiet down there. As for "best view"...I like the units from about 19-22. They have a beautiful view over a pond with a fountain and the golf course. Of course, those units don't have the second door to the bath for living room guests, if you have them. In January we were in building 51 and had a great sunrise view each morning from the living room.

There are several buildings that wil have a glimpse of the Illuminations fireworks, but you will only get to see the higher displays and will hear none of the music. You cannot see any of the displays that occur on the water.

Buidlings 19, 23 and 24 (and several others) will offer the glimpse, but I wouldn't base my room requests on getting a fireworks view.

As already mentioned, you can see/hear some the Fantasmic and PI fireworks from other locations at OKW- but IMHO, none are good enough views to be too concerned about where your room is located.

Most nights, if you go outside at 9:00pm you will be able to catch a peek at Illuminations from someplace near any of the buildings- even if you can't see from your balcony.

near the bus stop, pool or HH.

I have seem the fireworks walking along the sidewalk - I think in the same area that Doc mentioned.

if you want a view of the fireworks - go with BCV for Epcot, or VWL for MK - much better chance of getting to watch the fireworks - so sorry BWV for epcot and studios.

I have to agree that buildings 45 and 46 have wonderful water views. We really enjoyed our stay last month in building 46. However, Old Turtle Pond is my sentimental favorite because that's where stayed on our first trip home.....

If you do not have a car stay closer to Hospitality House - we did this in May and stayed in buildings 17 & 26 - nice stroll to HH - about 10 minute walk or so at a lesiurely pace

#26 was close to a bus stop and #17 not as close

Thanks for all the great advice. Ok here is what I have come up with I need a unit that has an extra entrance through the utility room to the bathroom. And one that is close to the bus stop. This is a great information board.

The coup de grace would be if you were near a quiet pool or close to the HH pool
