What places do you think are the best values for 1TS? Meaning...good quality food and good atmosphere. Some of the TS places have dinners that are $15-20...desserts around $5. So, you're getting $25 or so in food- which doesn't seem worth it if you're paying $46 for the dining plan (a CS and snack aren't quite $20 combined.) I know Le Cellier was always a good value for 1TS...but now its going to two... so what else is getting the most for your DDP dollars? (You can include character meals...but I know most of what you pay for there is character interaction, not food quality.)

I would probably pick Chefs de France, Tutto Italia or Kona Cafe at the Polynesian.

I would have to go with Coral Reef. The steak I had there topped the one I had at Le Cellier, and I loved the atmosphere.

The best 1TS in my opinion are:

The Wave
Tutto Italia
Cape May clambake (IF you like seafood)
Ohana

In the bang for your buck category:

Character: Akershus for dinner (you get a photo package included in the price). We have always had good food here too.

Non-Character: The Wave is now one of our favorite 1TS since Le Cellier is about to be 2TS.

Sometimes it's how you order though. Kona is one of our favorites too, but what we usually order puts it on the cheaper end of the TS meals we eat. Wouldn't take it off our list though!

I am not sure what menus or restaurants you have been looking at to come up with TS meals between $15-20....unless it is lunch prices. Because those prices seem very low to me.

We are just back from a 7day trip and had TS dinners everynight and for the 2 of us the bill was never less than $75 (DDP, so entree, drink and dessert).

Most TS dinner entrees we had were averaging $26-30 each.

Also every CS we had the bill for both of us was always over $33. We used snack credits for things like rice crispy mickey treats ($4) and chili cheese fries at POP (can't remember the price but I think it was around $5). So I disagree with the CS and snack can't be $20 combines. In our case each CS and snack were over $20 per person.

Example: DTD at Wolfgang Puck's Express our CS lunch was $46 for the 2 of us!!! That is $23 per person and we had yet to get a snack for that day.

Now obviously if you are going to do a character buffet for dinner that is a wonderful way to get the bang for your credit.
They can be very expensive.

Some wonderful meals we enjoyed were: Ohana, Whispering Canyon, Crystal Palace, LTT, Chef Mickey's, Tony's.

Have fun on your trip!!

Some are Tony's, Via Napoli, 50s PTC, Sci-Fi, Nine Dragons, Rose and Crown..

I know each of these offer a few (2-3) entrees over $20, but the majority are less. I know $ doesn't always equal quality, so thats why I wanted opinions too.

When we paid OOP for lunch in June, it was usually around $15. We didn't purchase many snacks that were over $5. And when we were on the dining plan during that trip, it was a little less expensive (although I assume all prices went up not just the dining plan.)

ETA: by $15-20, I just meant entrees, not dessert and drink.
