Hi everyone. DH and I planned to take a trip to WDW in Nov and we were going to stay at POR. We asked my parents if they wanted to join us and they said no, then maybe, then not likely, then maybe. Today my mom called and said that they will be joining us but my DSIS, DBIL and their DS will be coming too. I'm very glad to be going on this trip with my entire family but they need to stay on a budget so our plans have to change a touch. We're ok with staying at a value over moderate but I'm having trouble choosing which one would be best.

All opinions welcome.

I think that they are all pretty much the same. AoA is the nicest however it is more expensive. I loved staying at the ASMo a few years ago and that is where DH and I are going for our weekend getaway in September.

My kids love POP. It is big and the food court can get crowded at dinner time. There can be long lines for the buses however they move fast. There also is a nice walking trail around the lake. They have sayings about the different decades. You now can cross the bridge and visit AoA.

I think that the food courts at POP and AoA have a few more choices but outside of that the values are very similar.

We have stayed at ASMo and Pop. I think overall we preferred Pop. The buses were better and the grounds were a little nicer. But I would stay at either one again.

Good luck with your decision!

never stayed at a value but with so many in your group, what about suites? i was pricing out a trip for dec. and found a larger room to be economical compared to two rooms for 6 given certain conditions. it could be worth looking at, or renting dvc points? not sure what those go for but it seems like needing 3 rooms it could work out. good luck!:)

From what I've read and observed, all the Values seem very similar. Why not choose based on which theme would appeal to your family the most? That's how DF and I always end up at All-Star Music (we're both musicians ). :thumbsup2

Thanks for all your help. I'm torn now between All Star Movies and Pop.

Planning a trip when each couple has their own idea of what they want in a vacation is exciting and exhausting at the same time :rotfl:

Having only stayed at AS Sports and POP, I prefer AS Sports. It is quite smaller than POP and easier to get around. POP was nice but it was so mobbed all the time, especially the food court. One note though, the food court at AS Sports is closing for refurb until December. Good Luck in your choice:)

My preferred value is All Star Sports. For me I love that it's the smallest resort and I really like the theming in the "Surf's Up" section.

I say go with Pop. They have dedicated buses and you can go across the lake to check out AoA and eat at their food court.

Last November, my parents, in their 70s, stayed at Disney before and after a cruise. The stay prior to the cruise was POR. They loved this resort. While there, they visited my sisters and their families at AOA. My Mom didn't care for that resort. Then after the cruise, everyone stayed at Sports. They had a room in the Surf section and they liked that. They enjoyed sitting by the pool. I'm sure they would stay there again.

My wife and kids and I love POP!!! Best location as far as short bus rides to parks and DTD. Best theme and love the different pools, and all the big statues of the characters. Hope you have a great trip!!!
