Best value for CS at Epcot on the dining plan

It's been many years since I've had the dining plan, but did free dining with our upcoming September trip. I think I've got our TS planned but need some help with counter service at Epcot. Where can I get the most out of the CS credit? Who has good dessert options? (Even though I know there are changes and I wouldn't have to get dessert, I love my sweets :mickeybar)

I also recommend Sunshine Seasons. Kringla Bakeri og Kafe is also a decent value with great dessert options. Tangierine Cafe is a good value, but last I knew the only dessert option on DDP was baklava.

Tangeriene will give you the most food and best value money wise with their $15 combo platters, but I agree with PPs about dessert...Sunshine Seasons has the best tasting and the most selection.

Last time we went with the plan my meal was over $20. I don't think I ever came close to being able to do that anywhere else including Flame Tree.

Tangeriene Cafe has baklava. What more could anyone want?

Trust me, I LOVE baklava too, and it would be my choice if Sunshine Seasons had it, but it is the ONLY dessert available at Tangeriene. If someone doesn't do nuts, then they're kind of out of luck.

Looks like they've got a large selection:

Thanks for the input! Anyone ever had the dessert at Yorkshire County Fish Shop? My 76 year old mother only wants to make sure she gets her fish and chips, and their dessert is a jam and cream filled sponge cake (which actually sounds pretty tasty).

Has Tangeriene changed what you can get with your QS meal? In the past, they only let you have the original, basic baklava. Can you choose any of them in the case now?

From this link I see this is "a separate coffee and pastry bar". As these pastries are separate, I thought like sharonabe that the only DDP dessert option with a meal was the regular-style baklava. There are also no DDP logos shown on the cards in the picture; can anyone confirm that these qualify as snack credits and/or desserts with Tangierine QS meal?

The posted menu has a dessert section that says, "Come Inside and experience our freshly baked pastries and specialty coffees." Don't you normally get to choose from the dessert menu when you're on the dining plan?

Normally, yes. But the last time I was there, which granted is 4 years ago now, Tangierine Cafe and Cooke's of Dublin did not operate that way.

Exactly! The plan says you get a dessert, but each place gets to decide what that dessert may be. Our experience at Tangeriene was just the regular baklava; the things in the case were off limits. Same was true at Pepper Mkt at Coronado Springs. Some things were included, but there was a specialty case of yummy looking desserts that were not included.
