My 17 year old Hoover finally died unless hubby can fix it. The bag holder case is detaching from the vacuum handle stick. One of the clips that holds it together broke so its not clicking in.

I'm looking for
-a good vacuum that will last
**-light weight now heavy like my current one(I have lower back problems)
-allergy
-something that will fit under the kitchen cabinets and not get stuck
-Something that's good for hair (dd and I have lots of hair that ends up all over the place :/
-good for large tile space, 3 rooms or carpet and one room of2 bedrooms with bamboo flooring(don't want it scratched

Any recommendation appreciated and at this point I'll pay $$ but under $400. Thanks

Last month I purchased a Shark speed lift away 3 in 1 from QVC. It was $199 and had easy pay. I really like the attachment for hardwood floors. So far so good. I like it better than my Dyson.

I love my Dyson Animal, easy to use attachments and it's great on my tile and carpeting. Easy to clean with the bagless canister. My mom got the Shark since it was less expensive than the Dyson, I have used it and it seems to work well, but like my Dyson best.

Is it an Emerald color?
It came in blue, charcoal, plum, green or paprika. I got charcoal. I purchased it when it was the TSV (Today's Special Value) for $199. It's now $219 but it's still on easy pay. I believe when you sign up for their Q card, you get $10 off your first purchase and add an extra easy pay. Item number V34200 on QVC.com They still have the video presentation up.
