I know bfast is not the best use of a CS, but right now it fits our September touring plan. Any advice on where to use the CS to get a good breakfast?

TIA!
Sammy

ABC Commissary in MGM - they have a breakfast platter which has eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns and a biscuit - it is a big and hearty breakfast and tasted very good.

Mainstreet Bakery - choose 2 items and a drink - makes for a good quick breakfast in the MK - They have huge cinnamon rolls and french toast loaf along with smoothies.

Capt Cooks at the Polynesian - Tonga toast with bacon or sausage - mmm, mmm, good.

Oooooo...I love Capt Cooks! Never thought of that...thanks!

I think a good use of CS credit for breakfast is at the peppermarket at CSR. We use our extra CS credits there for breakfast and the meal is always a good size.

we found the best use of CS breakfast works anywhere... SHARE!!! we were able to stretch the "platter" (diff't names at diff't resorts' CS) to three when we added a bagel oop... it was the perfect hearty/light breakfast combo... hearty in that it included protein, eggs/bacon/sausage and light in that we shared, one got the eggs and biscuit, one had the sausage and oop bagel and one had the bacon and potatoes... add a juice and you're good to go! we also often added a fruit cup or grapes bowl w/a snack credit to round it out! of course there were the refillable mugs of coffee to keep us running ;)

whatever you strategy ENJOY! :flower:

I've read somewhere on the dis that you get 2 drinks with CS breakfast is that true?

2 drinks? i don't think so... i know we never did (and we've done DDP 3 or 4 times now)... unless you are talking about my post where i said we get a drink w/our meal and use our refillable mug for a second drink...

I can't remember where I read it-may have even been a resort FAQ thread. Someone said they were allowed 2 drinks (like milk & juice) with their CS breakfast because you don't get dessert. I've only done the meal plan one time and wasn't told that was how it worked but wondered if anyone else was told this.

I read something about that too. I wonder if it's true! I hope so, because my husband and I always split CS meals for breakfast and it would be great to get 2 drinks.

imo it's unclear... i've c&p'd from the online brochure...

Your Quick Service Meal includes one (1) single serving:
Guests ages 3-9 must order from a children’s menu where available.
Entrée
Dessert (lunch & dinner)
Non-alcoholic beverage
Juice (breakfast)
Combo meal plus one (1) dessert
(lunch & dinner) and one (1) single serving
non-alcoholic beverage or juice (breakfast)

Hi
I'm desperate to try tonga toast, and noticed someone said you can get it counter service at captain cooks. I have looked at the menus and I can't find it listed. Had a breakfast at Kona just to try it but seems a waste of a table credit just to do this. Does anyone know if I can get it counter service?

Thanks;)

Just copied this from Debs looks like for breakfast you can get a juice and a non-alcoholic beverage, that's two :thumbsup2

-Juice (at breakfast)
--Appetizer (at lunch and dinner)
--Entree
--Dessert (at lunch and dinner)
--Non-alcoholic beverage

but the brochure at disney.com says that PLUS it says this:

Combo meal plus one (1) dessert
(lunch & dinner) and one (1) single serving
non-alcoholic beverage or juice (breakfast)

which is why i found it confusing... it's almost contradictory...

What we are doing is to eat at Kona.. but not use our TS credits for breakfast

We will have to find this out cause we plan on doing a few breakfast CS at other resorts in Sept. and we won't be able to use our all you can drink mugs at a different resort. :confused3 Keep this going till we find out.

actually, the new drink mugs are generic and rumor has it that they are allowing "mug-hopping" (although it's just rumor)

Just to confirm for a previous poster -

Tonga Toast is available at Capt Cook's and you can order it with your choice of bacon or sausage (we got it May 07 for a reference date).

They also had a couple of other hot breakfast offerings like a breakfast platter and waffle.

We only got breakfast at Boardwalk Bakery and you could get a sandwich, and 2 drinks. We asked about getting a pastery, but it was not included. We would have rather had the pastery instead of 2 drinks. But the panninis were huge and 2 people could split one (they only tasted okay, IMHO.)

This is what I found at www.allearsnet.com:

The Disney Dining Plan can be used for In-Room Private Dining. TWO table service credits will be deducted from your Dining Plan for a meal. A meal will include the following items:

--Juice (at breakfast)
--Appetizer (at lunch and dinner)
--Entree
--Dessert (at lunch and dinner)
--Non-alcoholic beverage
