I have stayed at DW resorts before and we have saved a lot of money with codes. How do I get the best deals at the Universal hotels. Are there any tricks that you guys could share with me? I would love to go May 17-20th this year. It would have to be a great deal to lure my hubby. I would be thrilled with any of the 3 main hotels. This would be our first trip away from the kids.
TIA,
Tara

Tara,
Start with checking the rate with AAA discount (if you're a member).... check Universal's website for deals/packages and hotel discounts. Other than an Annual Pass (AP), there really aren't "codes"....oh wait...there's the entertainment book discount too...... i almost forgot...Royal Pacific is usually the cheapest, Hard Rock (middle expensive), but closest to parks....Portofino Bay hotel is the furthest from parks.

taratink, read some of the threads that talk about tickets, ap rates in the other forum.

when people chat about some of the costs for their trips, hotels come up in postings.

take notes on how some got their "deals"

the discount codes of AAA, AP, super saver, promos are about the best anyone can latch on to.

We just used AAA and got a great rate. It was just slightly less than the special they were offering at that time.

JMHO, but I think the standard Lowes rates are not as "bloated" as the standard WDW rates so you don't need those huge special's.

i agree...especially with the perks you get .... a 4* hotel and FOTL....you just can't beat that! worth every penny, imho

agreed.

looking at my plans for my disney stay, it's in value season and with tax, $93.68 per night for a value resort room..........rack rate.

AAA discounts there make that same room $74.30 per night in value season at the same value resort. when the AAA rooms sell out, it's rack rate.
