my math skills are lacking and i dont even know what the dvc ap prices are now. can some please tell me the best ut ticket to buy to upgrade to an ap would be.
thanks in advance.

If you use the mousesaver link, as of this date, it is a 7 day no expiration ticket for an adult. Cost of ticket is 354.95. Cost of upgrade is 10.65. Cost of buying AP is 424.94.
For a child it is a 10 day PH and WPM ticket. Cost of ticket is 315.95. Cost of upgrade is 13.85. Cost of child AP is 383.40

I concur. This provides an overall out-of-pocket savings of $59.34.

I am seeing the new gate price of a 10-day PH + WPM child ticket as $369.56. The UT price is $315.95. That's a savings of $53.61.

The 7-day MYW base + NE for a child is $389.79. The UT price is $321.95, for a savings of $63.61. The DVC AP price for a child is $385.53 so the "loss" is $4.26 because the upgrading pass is higher. However, the overall savings is still better, netting out at $59.35.

NOTE: There has been some talk that a ticket valued at more than the gate price of the ticket being upgraded to is no longer acceptable. I've yet to read any instance of this actually happening, but have read several recent reports of this type of upgrading not only being allowable, but of people actually receiving a refund for the difference. I'm thoroughly willing to take my chances, and will report on my experience 2 weeks from today. :thumbsup2

Yes, this is being debated. Will someone who attempts to upgrade their MYW tickets valued highter than the cost of the DVC AP please let us know what outcome they achieved?

I'm hoping for an upgrade with no refund, would love the upgrade plust refund, but would probably go with the premium annual pass if I had to.
