Can you tell me what you think is the best table service breakfast and Why?? We usually do table service for dinner but we are thinking of changing it up a bit. Thanks!

I really liked the Tonga Toast at Kona Cafe. They also had some sort of pineapple macadamia pancakes which sounded really good, but neither of us ordered them. I also enjoyed 1900 Park Fare, but that's a buffet, so I don't know if that's something you're interested in. I don't know if you're going with kids, but 1900 Park Fare is a character breakfast with Tigger, Winnie the Pooh, Alice, the Mad Hatter, and Mary Poppins. We had an ADR for 8:10 on a Sunday morning and there was hardly anyone in there when we sat down, so the characters were able to visit the table several times before it got crowded.

Enjoy! :thumbsup2

If you are staying at POR, you should try Boatwrights. The Sweet Potato pancakes are delicious!

Kona Cafe is also a must do breakfast for us. We like the pineapple macadamia nut pancakes.

I strongly agree with PP. The sweet potato pancakes with pecan butter are so good-worth the trip to Boatwrights at POR IMHO. Not really being a big pancake eater, although it will really seem like it in a moment-pineapple macadamia pancakes with macadamia nut butter-to die for. DH & I will most definately be returning to these to spots next trip. My mouth is watering now!!

Right now I have ADR's at Kona for breakfast myself.
Dh is wanting to experience the Wispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge where we are staying, and so I'm considering trying to change Kona for that- since i can't seem to get into WC for a dinner adr.

Maybe I'd regret losing out on Kona though...?:confused3 Sure sounds like people like Kona for breakfast!

Everything at Kona is simply delicious! My other breakfast recommendation is Trail's End breakfast buffet. Their breakfast pizza, and biscuits & gravy are yummy...they have a nice selection to choose from.

I really like Kona Cafe for breakfast or O'hana. Kona has great french toast but it's a lot and very rich.

O'hana is just fun and the food is always good plus they will keep bring it out for you. And you get to see mickey which is always fun. The mickey waffles are good, bacon, eggs, sausage, and the famous pineapple bread.

Kona is my favorite, but Boatwrights and Olivia's are good as well.

An early breakfast at Kona is a great way to start your day at MK!

We love Kona, it is our hands down favorite place to go. We also love Cape May and Crystal Palace, great breakfast buffets.

I would never go to Spoodles for breakfast again, it was horrible. The food was overcooked, greasy and rubbery.

How does everyone feel about the breakfast buffet @ Boma? We have ADR's there for the first time and I'm a bit nervous. I was worried some of the fare would be too exotic for my kids -- but was hoping breakfast would be a bit tamer than dinner.

Boma breakfast buffet was tamer than dinner and yummy! I seem to remember they had all the usuals plus some exotic things to try.

Does anyone know if breakfast at Whispering Canyon includes some of the wacky hijinx and shenanigans that I've read about for the other meals?

For breakfast my favorites are:

1) Kona - They have the best pancakes (see pp), juices and coffee. Everything you need to start your day at the KM!

2) Crystal Palace - Seriously one of the best buffets I have ever had, even topping the Bellagio in Vegas. Great potatoes, eggs, variety and character interaction was great!

3) Boatwrights - easy, convenient and great sweet potato pancakes!

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! I don't know if I could go without Kona Cafe at least once a trip. The food is great and we are quite fond of a server named Beverly. She is just amazing. She remembers us, even though it may be months inbetween visits......not just fake remembers, like remembers which table is "our" table. She is a real gem.

Of course, outside of the great food and excellent service, there is the ultimate $5 cup of heaven....the mocha latte. YUM! Maggie
