We are planning our dining and I have been trying to figure out a table service at MK. I have looked at Liberty Tree and also CP. I was wondering what you think is the best food, atmosphere or should we go to a close resort and enjoy a meal there? HELP??

I haven't been to many TS at MK, only CRT and Tony's. Tony's I would NOT recommend, and I have yet to go to the new CRT character dining experience.

I might try Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch, but not sure I'd go for the character dining experience for the dinner platter. Of course all of the CP meals are character, but I think they have a better menu selection for the same price.

There are definately some good TS at the surrounding resorts, especially the monorail resorts. Contemporary: CA Grill, Chef Mickey's; Grand Floridian: 1900 Park Fare, Citricos, Narcoossee's; Poly: 'Ohana, Kona Cafe.

Good luck with the choice, there's a lot to chose from!

For food, I personally prefer, LTT. Pretty much traditional Thanksgiving fare, but we enjoyed it. For atmosphere, I prefer CP. That place is beautiful, very open and well lit, but I didn't care for the food. However, if you are looking for a really good meal, I would venture out to one of the nearby resorts. Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge has really good food and is a lot of fun. It is a quick boat ride from the MK and very well worth it. :thumbsup2

I agree with the previous responders--the better TS meals (by far) are to be had at the nearby resort hotels.
Some of my choices--Narcoosees, Artist Point, O'hanas, California Grill, Citricos, Concourse Steakhouse, Kona--

Your best bet at the MK is to go out and hop on the monorail and head over to Citricos at the GF, or take the boat over to Artist Point at the WL. If you really want to stay inside the park I guess I would have to go with LTT.

I would vote for CP, my husband and I thought LTT was a little too much Stouffers tasting, but my kids loved it.

We eally liked the Plaza Restaurant at MK. OK so the food is basic but still very nice and the desserts are to die for. Plus, it's not as expensive as most TS restaurants (although if you're on the Dining Plan that doesn't matter ;) )

Hi Stephanie! Your best choice may depend in part on who's in your dining group. Over the years we have done all three meals at CP and have enjoyed each. dh and I have always found interesting things (and I am more of a vegetable and fish and some chicken eater, he likes beef), but we mainly go because our kids love it there. I think that it is a pretty place, but it might be a little loud and chaotic for a group of just adults. We haven't tried LTT because the meny doesn't appeal to us. We are trying Kona Cafe on our upcoming trip based on good word I've read here, but we will also be having dinner another night at CP.

I would say Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch is the best. It's character-free, and the menu is a la carte. The food is much better than dinner, and the children in attendance are usually much better behaved than at the character dinner, making for a much more pleasant experience.

The lunch menu offers more than thanksgiving fare.
