Best Travel Method from UK?

We usually fly from Newcastle using Easyjet, but this time were using the Eurostar and staying over the night before in London, planning on doing some xmas shopping and seeing friends. On the way back were flying back using Easyjet- you cant complain at only £35 for a flight!

we have gone by coach, air and by eurostar and even though we have bristol airport just 20mins from our house we find it easier and cheeper to go by eurostar. we are going from ashford in jan and have paid £20 for a travelodge for the night before and the carpark is about £15 a day plus it adds an extra night onto a short break without eating in to my leave entitlement.

TRAIN!!!

We live one stop on the tube away from Kings X/St. Pancras so for us its very easy... We fly a lot as both of our families live abroad but compared to flying the train is fab!!! Don't think we'd be going as often if we had to fly...

We've always driven to DLP - as someone else mentioned the driving in france is so much nicer. The roads are nice and smooth and if there are roadworks only a short area is coned off and you do see the work going on - unlike in the UK!;)

We prefer the Eurostar. However this time we are driving to the Magic, simply because it was cheaper due to staying offsite.

If my husband is coming along too, we drive via Eurotunnel but I don't relish driving that far on my own so when I go with my daughter we fly from Heathrow as we live very close.

Unless, of course, we get a cracking deal on Eurostar. :rolleyes1

We live in blackpool but we always go by eurostar yes it means doing overnighter in london but the travelodge near kings x is less than £100 for a family room so we make a day of it and treat vit *** part of the trip. Do the same on the way back too.Eurostar is absolutely brilliant,:goodvibes

Depends on what we are doing. We live in Bedfordshire, 30 min from Luton Airport, 40 min from Stanstead, 60 min from St Pancras International or 6-7 hours drive door to door.

We tend to use Eurotunnel as we often get one or two free crossings with our Tesco's clubcard points, plus you can load the car up there and back (we're taking a crate of coke, a crate of milk and a crate of water from Costco - 50p for a bottle of coke as opposed to DLP's £2.30!!!). On the way back we do our grocery shopping (and some wine) as virtually everything (inc washing powder) is cheaper in France. We can also buy anything we want from DLP then.

I hate flying there as it takes as long as flying between the security at both ends and the dreaded (and expensive bus).

If it's a short trip, then we go Eurostar.
