Best transportation from WL for ropedrop

We'll be staying at WL/CCV 7/5-7/10 and I'm trying to wrap my head around the best mode of transportation to each park if we want to be front of the pack for rope drop. From what I'm reading busses seem unreliable. I think for MK we'll just plan to take the boat (unless that's a bad idea!), but I'd appreciate advice for the other parks. I'm leaning towards Uber/Lyft, knowing that we'll be held at the parking booths until the lots open, but that seems like it might be a better option than waiting for a bus to arrive. Does anyone have recent experience with bus reliability at WL and getting to the parks early? Is a rideshare drop off at the Speedway and then walking to HS still possible?

Lately they have not been letting cars into the parking lots until an hour before opening, so the bus will get you there faster. I would be at the bus stop at least 90 minutes before park opening, or more if you really want to be at the very front of the pack.

We were at WDW for the first two weeks of June and drove to AK and MK several times each. The people who used the buses beat us every time. We were held at the toll booths every morning while the buses rolled by.
