Best transportation from LAX

Would love to hear opinions as to what is the best transportation from LAX to VGC for a party of 4 and best deal. I have read post of choices and will be checking prices but always like to hear from others. Thanks!

I did some research on shuttles and decided on Karmel. Everyone on here who had used them in the past had only good things to say about them (the others shuttles seemed hit and miss). Its a great price, they guarantee that they don't circle the airport looking for more people (like the others do) and they have a Kids Ride Free promo on right now. Its only $40 each way for the 4 of us. The other shuttles were $99 round trip.

Haven't actually tried them yet, but I will in FIVE days!

FWIW Karmel is getting lots of good press lately. We used them from Long Beach to DLR last July for four people. They were reliable. A good choice.

We go with a rental car now... we tried the shuttles twice - even when they say disneyland direct, they arent.... once it took us 90+ minutes to get to the GCH, we had to drop off 2 people at their homes, etc....

with a rental depending on what time we get there, we can get to the resort in less then an hour..

Shelebeen, that's the main complaint we heard about the larger more popular shuttles and how it can take so long by the time they drive around the airport a few times and drop everyone else off at their hotel first. Karmel only has 8 passenger vans so they can only hold so many people (which means... fewer drop offs!).

Hubby is not thrilled with driving in LA and all the traffic
