Best transport from GF?

Staying at GF in December (due to the AP deal) from the 13th to the 18th (PBH 18th-21st). We have stayed at WL in the past so I'm not completely sure about GF methods of transport. Is there a way to access the monorail to go to MGM? Would it make sense to take the monorail to Epcot and walk over, or, maybe go to the Boardwalk and take a boat? Maybe the best method is a Disney bus?
Any ideas would be appreciated as I am beginning to think about a basic plan of attack and a couple of old and good friends will be at the Boardwalk during our stay.

We have stayed at GF several times and have used the bus to get to MGM. The bus should be non-stop from GF to MGM. Sometimes the bus is shared with WL and Poly, but the GF is the last stop going to MGM. If you want to go to the Boardwalk you can take the boat from MGM to the Boardwalk or walk on the fairly new opened path.
