We're going to Disneyland!

Have not been for a long time - and never have stayed on site.
We know we're staying at the DLH.
And we got what they call a "upper level deluxe view".

But what tower should we request?
Thanks for any enlightenment. :flower3:

The Adventure Tower, it's faster to get to the parks.

Yes, but by minutes only, maybe 4 tops. And I can say that because we just came back and stayed in the frontier tower.

We tested this because I had requested to stay in the Adventure tower because I have a slight disability, plus we got married at the DLH and our reception room was scheduled to be in the Adventure tower. Well, when we checked in they could not give us the three bedroom suite in the Adventure tower, and instead moved us to the frontier tower, of course I was upset because adding extra steps for me, is a big deal.

So my now husband and I walked it, and like I said it is so short that even I with my disability, it was not a big deal at all.

I give full cudos to the desk staff, as the suite they put us in, in the frontier tower had two balconys and I must say the perfect view of the fireworks, plus they moved our reception to the frontier tower for us.

The hotel is just stunning, and the service is amazing. However if you are stuck on staying in the Adventure tower, on the dtd side to see the fireworks, they cannot guarantee you the room you want, not even if you are booking a 3 room suite plus an additional room, plus having a wedding there. If the rooms are there at the time of check in, you get, if they are not you don"t. You can ask, but there is no guarantee.

Personally I will stay in the frontier tower from now on, if we can get it, but that is because we book suites and I really like the balconys which are only offered in the frontier tower corner rooms.

We are trying to decide between GC and DLH. Stayed twice at GC and never at DLH. How many towers are there at DLH and are there different themes to them?

Thanks for posting this. I'll be watching it.
All confused with the new names, etc. I'm interested to hear what people prefer and why. Thanks!

There are 3, Adventure to the east, Fantasy to the north, and Frontier to the south. While the lobbies are themed to their name, the rooms in all three are the same.

For the OP.
Again Adventure. You only see the resort or the pool from that tower. While from the other two, one side is the pool, the other side parking lots. So for your delux veiw it's going to be the pool.

Thanks skiingfast. We will not have any kind of deluxe room. Would like whatever's closest to the monorail or park entrance...any suggestions?

Like I said in my first post, the Adventure Tower.

From anywhere in the DLH when you walk toward the parks you go by the monorail station. Are you aware though that the Monorail doesn't operate all the time the park is open and isn't always the fastest way anyway?

Thanks - Adventure it is. ;)
What would be your second choice - and why?
