Trying to decide which hotel to stay for our sons 3rd birthday next year. On this past trip he had SO MUCH fun at the mad hatter water play area at VGF but I know that is a typically a tough reservation to get and probably a long shot.

As a back up I’m wondering if any DVC resorts have something similar (or possibly even better)? Tried watching YouTube videos and looks like AKV kidani and POLY both have nice kids play areas, but only got a quick peek (would love to hear feedback from anyone who has experience at them)

It’s funny cause my wife and I have stayed at every DVC resort in Disney world but never really paid attention to pools, especially kids section before. We are quickly realizing that’s going to change now with the little man lol

thank you very much for help and have a magical day :)

My grandtinker loved the childrens play area at the Riviera last December. Has a couple different slides, some splash areas and was set up so us adults could relax around there with a drink from Bar Riva. Great set up.

My son was 4 when we stayed at Poly and he LOVED the water play area. He could have spent our whole trip there.

Kidani is on my list to try.(haven’t been yet)

Copper Creek is our next trip. They have a play area similar to GF.
SSR has one too I believe.

My kids love the kids play areas and I tend to choose a resort that has them as well. So far, the Poly is the best too them. They have fun at any pool/splash pad but the Poly was the one that kept them entertained for hours.

I would say Riviera, so cool! Looking forward to bringing our grandson there!😁

Thank you VERY much for your reply, it actually made me feel a lot better. My wife and I loved the POLY (bars, and food were a big part) so we bought a contract there before we had our son.

this past trip we stayed at VGF and I’ve been second guessing if I chose the wrong hotel for a family cause of how much fun my son had there, so it’s a big relief that your kids love POLY

I have two girls ages two and four and we have stayed at almost every deluxe. They always ask for the Lilo and Stitch hotel (Poly) because it has, hands down, the best splash area. They will play there for hours! It was less fun as a parent when they were under two and not quite steady on their feet. I would have to follow them the whole time. Three is a perfect age for the Kiki Tiki splash pad. They also love the ‘sand pool’ at BC&YC but I’ve heard it can be stressful as a parent if they want to explore the rest of the pool area. My kids never want to leave the shallow sand pool.

So we did BCV this past trip (split between VGF) and he did enjoy playing in the sand but it wasn’t near the level of excitement as the GF water play area. Thank you for reply and I’m feeling a lot better about the idea of being at poly :)
