Can I have any and all tips? I don't care if it's been said before? Any secrets you can share!

TIA

Oh, gosh. We took DS the first time when he as about 8-9 months, so just a touch younger.

Make sure you bring plenty of diapers and wipes. If it feels like too many, good! They're a small fortune down there. Ditto on baby food, I packaged it really well, think bubble wrap, paper towels and ziplock bags, and prayed it wouldn't break. It didn't. Although probably, you could order from one of those grocery services, ship it to yourself, or if you're renting a car, buy it down there to make it easier on yourself.

Have some little toys for the baby to play with at restaurants. This really helped to keep our DS distracted during meals. Although mostly he was very contented to just sit and people watch, he was that kind of a baby.

Make sure you have multiple changes of clothes with you when you go into the parks. I had one incident, granted he was older, where I ran out of clothes and ended up running from Italy in the World Showcase to MouseGears. And back. That was an interesting night, of course we were in the middle of dinner.:lmao:

I can't think of anything else right now, but if I do, I'll post it. :goodvibes

1. Make sure to take advantage of the Baby Care Centers in all 4 parks ... they are a WONDERFUL resource!!

Nice and quiet and cool. Have just about anything you could need if you forget or run out of something. There is a spot for nursing moms and microwaves to warm things up. All have tvs with movies playing and/or toys for older kids and family style bathrooms. There are wonderful CMs, usually retired folks or college age who are studying to go in to education and they are all wonderful with the kids.

2. Riding the TTA in the MK or the monorail around 7 Seas Lagoon or over to Epcot is a great way to soothe an over- tired or over-stimulated baby.

3. Carry an empty, collapsible bag in the bottom of your stroller. It comes in handy when having to collapse the stroller to get on buses or other rides that allow them. Just unload the storage area into the bag (you'll be amazed at what collects there!) and then you only have 3 things to carry -- baby, stroller and bag!!

Have a wonderful trip!

Here's a few more:

* Bring a baby sling/hip hammock to carry baby in lines/on rides/shows. Strollers aren't allowed in lines and it is very helpful!

* The single serve "tubes" of formula are great for mixing up a bottle in the parks - the freshest besides BF!!

* Bring a small cooler bag into the parks w/water, juice/bottle and snacks.

* Pack a quick change bag in your diaper bag for diaper changes...just include diaper, wipes and large changing mat for grab and go diaper changes. I would put everything in a large ziplock.

* Read a great tip on these boards-- bring some clothespins or large binder clips to clip park maps to the top of the stroller, or to clip a receiving blanket up for some shade/privacy.

* Rain covers for strollers are wonderful!!!!

* Note, most shows/attractions are very loud so cover baby's ears.

Happy planning!

Great tip! I've never heard that before. I'll use it this November!

I will also recommend that you bring outfits and necessities each in their own ziplock bags. This keeps each set separate and dry. Then you'll have the empty bag to put the dirties back into.
I would say to use a grocery delivery service like Garden Grocer. This way you don't have to pack tons of diapers and wipes and food. It's only a $12.00 delivery fee and you'll have much more room in your suitcases.
Ask your child's doctor about using benedryl on the airplane. It really helped keep things calm and quiet while flying!
Make sure you have a comfy stroller. Our little ones always napped on the go. It kept them happier.
Bring your own pack-n-play sheets and blankets. I felt like they were more like home. But we always use the pack-n-play cribs that the resort supplies.
My best tip is to just take it easy and not try to over do it. Little ones need that down time that they are used to.
Good luck and have fun!
